Saturday Jan 7, 2023 w/ Elder Regina Roundtree
00;00;37;00 – 00;01;18;09
Speaker 1
One of the reasons that we wanted to do the International Sabbath Fellowship, we did it at this time and hoping that we could connect with internationals who are still in Sabbath and have this time of fellowship. And I think one of the the things that as I was studying and even talking with major daughter, we were talking about the importance of Torah and understanding how key it is to our life and not just it’s more than just a book of instructions.
00;01;18;09 – 00;01;49;00
Speaker 1
It’s more than just stories of people’s lives. It really is the key to unlocking everything that we need. And I think you’ll find that in this study as we talk and discuss, we’re going to learn a lot about because I know I learned a lot in studying and preparing for this about what is Elohim, what is God’s plan really, for us, for humanity.
00;01;50;03 – 00;02;24;10
Speaker 1
And I think we don’t always understand or appreciate who the patriarchs are. And and maybe because, you know, it’s not in our culture to give them that kind of honor as it may be in other cultures. Right. And so when we talk about the Bible always says Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, it’s always the God, the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
00;02;24;12 – 00;02;55;13
Speaker 1
And I think as Christians, we look at them as just stories and not truly understanding what it is that they have established. And so for these next few weeks, we are going to really dig into what is the actual promise from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And so let’s start with well, I want to ask a quick well, it’s just you, Esther, right now.
00;02;55;19 – 00;03;08;24
Speaker 1
Talk to me. When you were growing up and when you were studying the Bible, what was your understanding? How important was it taught to you about the promise of Abraham?
00;03;10;06 – 00;03;54;09
Speaker 2
Oh, yeah. For me, the I. I only focus about the New Testament especially we call that the gospel and not really understand. And then for me, reading the Old Testament, just reading the story to know how the history going on, not really knowing that is the Word of God so that I need to focus so that I can know who God is in my life, you know, because all we talk in our community, he is especially the Christian community, is about Jesus, what Jesus do for us, Jesus and the cross and just like that.
00;03;54;25 – 00;04;23;08
Speaker 2
So I’m not really you know, think that the Old Testament is like still apply for us and did unto this day and to a really after I either I, I read the ten commandments and then I see there is still, you know, the words that we should keep the Sabbath. But I think that Sabbath is changed to Sunday.
00;04;24;22 – 00;04;54;01
Speaker 2
That is my understanding. Mm hmm. Yeah. Mm hmm. And now, when I think that for last year, when I and Eugene had a VW, a ministry. Mm hmm. At that moment, I realized that. Oh, everything that I did for a long time, everything that I think that is my life. That is. That is God is not God anymore.
00;04;54;10 – 00;05;03;28
Speaker 2
Mm hmm. That it’s just something that the religious religion is making. Mm hmm. Yeah.
00;05;04;29 – 00;05;41;18
Speaker 1
Okay. That’s good. So let’s start with we’re going to go back to Genesis, because what we’re going to do is really begin to understand and that Abraham is really key to the all the promises that we have in Torah. And that oftentimes I know for myself, when I was a young Christian and I would hear the stories or I would read in the Old Testament, I loved the Old Testament when I got saved.
00;05;41;18 – 00;06;14;00
Speaker 1
I don’t know why. I just absolutely adored the Old Testament, but it always used to make me feel like I was not included in the promises that it was good. You know, that Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes and, you know, all the things that God did. But it always seemed like, okay, they’re just examples. And there wasn’t anywhere that I was necessarily included.
00;06;15;01 – 00;06;48;16
Speaker 1
Of course, over time, in years and with study, then I began to realize that there was more to it than that. But what were really going to go into is that Torah is for everybody. It was always Elohim plan of salvation and of relationship and covenant to be with everyone. And what we’re going to see, at least in this particular session, is how that unfolded.
00;06;48;18 – 00;07;39;13
Speaker 1
Like, we’ll start with Adam and Eve and then we’ll go to Noah and then we’ll go to Abraham. So let’s go into Genesis and let’s go to Genesis one, and we’re going to go right to start at verse 26. And God said, Let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea over the fall of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
00;07;41;08 – 00;08;11;15
Speaker 1
So God created man in his own image and the image of God created He Him male and female created he them and God bless them. And God said to them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea. And over the fall of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
00;08;11;15 – 00;08;33;00
Speaker 1
And God said, behold, I have given you every herb bearing sea which is upon the face of all the earth, every tree in that which the fruit of the of the tree yielding sea to you it shall be for meat and to every beast of the earth, into every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth wherein there’s life.
00;08;33;12 – 00;09;14;10
Speaker 1
I have given every green herb for meat and it was so and God saw everything he had made and behold it was good in the evening. In the morning where the sixth day and what I want us to see here is that immediately there are two kind of promises. There are two blessings. He wanted him to multiply and subdue the earth, and we’re going to go to No.
00;09;14;10 – 00;09;48;03
Speaker 1
One next. But what we’re going to see is this pattern that I want to point out is that for Elohim, it was always about multiplying and doing the earth. So it’s always about inheritance, about generations, and about the land. And I know I lived in a had the pleasure of living in Vietnam for five years. And the way land is important to you.
00;09;48;03 – 00;10;01;29
Speaker 1
Isn’t that true? Esther is much different than than the way we in the U.S. kind of think about ourselves in the connection to land. Is that true?
00;10;02;06 – 00;10;03;24
Speaker 2
Yes, yes, yes. Esther.
00;10;04;17 – 00;10;13;07
Speaker 1
Tell me for your people, tell me what you understand why land is important to you.
00;10;15;19 – 00;11;05;01
Speaker 2
Yeah, because we like at a tribal, we leaped depending on the land we use the moon to display and do the next play. And then we use the land for seven years. And then we will move to another place so that the land itself will be restored and then later on we just come around and then go back to the first play and then, you know, just like that, that is our tribal leap for a long, long time and to the government is not allow us to go to the jungle or go to the mountain anymore.
00;11;05;16 – 00;11;36;13
Speaker 2
And then they they they force us to set that now on somewhere. And then and only that time, we have to be up to how. But last time we also leap on the ten. So when I listen to my grandfather, when he tell the story about our own people, how we leap last them, and then I connect to the Bible, I see that, you know, it’s very connected to what God want us to do.
00;11;37;22 – 00;12;20;04
Speaker 1
And that’s interesting that you already knew that even in this like 21st century, there are still nations and cultures of people connected to the land who let the land rest for seven years. Because Leviticus talks about that, that Jehovah when he gave them instructions when they’re in their wilderness and you read through Leviticus and numbers and he talks about letting the land rest for seven years and you’re saying that your tribe actually still did that, that they would work and live on a land and then they would move because you would actually let the land rest for seven years, is that correct?
00;12;21;12 – 00;12;22;14
Speaker 2
Yes. Yes.
00;12;23;27 – 00;13;05;11
Speaker 1
See, it is amazing to me how much it’s why I love I love Southeast Asia. I love talking with people, tribes, tribal people, first nation people. It’s just a totally different connection to the land, to agriculture, because it’s so necessary for your sustain and for for your life. So that’s good. Thank you for sharing that. And so what we see is that God created a land and then he blessed the people and told them to multiply.
00;13;06;13 – 00;13;37;23
Speaker 1
Now notice in here we do not see Elohim make a covenant or any kind of oath or any kind of promise. And so it’s interesting to see how it unfolds. We’re going to go and look at Noah next, even when when there get disciplined in Genesis three, you know, he speaks to the serpent. He speaks to the woman.
00;13;37;23 – 00;14;25;12
Speaker 1
He speaks to the man, and he tells them what their punishment will be for disobedience. We never see Ellis actually, look at that. Let’s go to Genesis three. We do not see Elohim at this point make any kind of promise. It’s what what we’re going to see is that it’s gradual. It’s like, okay, he set this up. And it’s not that he did not know everything that was going to happen from the beginning, but I think this is a lesson for us in when he says many times when we get into the study, he’ll talk about that.
00;14;25;12 – 00;15;20;11
Speaker 1
He is law, he is longsuffering, he is gracious. He’s exceedingly kind. We’re going to see that play out when we see all of these the different promises and oath that he makes. But let’s go to Genesis chapter three and let’s start at first nine, and we’re going to read this section. And what I want you to listen for is that he does mete out the the discipline, but we do not hear Elohim himself make any kind of promise of what of what he’s going to do.
00;15;20;11 – 00;15;54;16
Speaker 1
Like we’ll see when we get to Noah and then like we see when we get to Abraham. So chapter three, verse nine, and Adonai or Yah over our Elohim called unto Adam and said unto him, Where art thou? So there are times, as many of us have learned, that the Lord LRT is just a title or a place filler for the yoke.
00;15;54;18 – 00;16;24;00
Speaker 1
Hey Board. Hey the capital Y, capital H, capital W, capital h a. Some people say, some people say Jehovah I’m going to say Jehovah. So and he said I heard thy voice in the garden, oh you know what I want to do. I have this, I want to read from the transparent English Bible so it means I’m going to flip off of this on my iPad.
00;16;25;01 – 00;17;11;16
Speaker 1
So the transparent English Bible is quite interesting because it actually what they did was they took the Hebrew and as much as possible, stay transparent. That’s why it’s called a transparent English Bible, tried to stay as transparent as possible to what the Hebrew was saying. And I also like it here because they have the they have the Jehovah and Elohim, they have the names already placed in there because I’m trying to read The King James and remember to switch over.
00;17;11;23 – 00;17;45;09
Speaker 1
So I’m going to go to a transparent English Bible and I’m going to start reading. So I’m not in the app. So if someone comes in, I won’t see them. So maybe your daughter or or Esther, please invite them up because I can’t see the app because it’s on the same the same device. Okay, so I’m going to start in verse nine and Jehovah Elohim called toward the soil creature.
00;17;46;12 – 00;18;21;05
Speaker 1
So again, it is interesting because the Hebrew actually doesn’t call them Man or Adam. It’s a soil creature because he was made from the soil and he said to him, Where are you? And he said, Your voice I heard in the garden and I feared for I was nude and I was hidden. And he said, Who told you that you were nude from the tree that I charged you so as not to eat from it?
00;18;21;11 – 00;19;04;08
Speaker 1
Have you eaten? I’m in verse 12 and the soil creature said the woman. You gave her to be with me. She gave me to eat from the tree and I ate. And Jehovah. Elohim said to the woman, What is this you have done? And the woman said, The Nakash, the Nakash. He deceived me and I ate and Jehovah, Elohim said toward the Nakash, So it’s serpent in your in your Bible.
00;19;04;08 – 00;19;39;19
Speaker 1
But Nakash is speaking to the evil spirit that has taken over the body of the serpent. Because you have done this curse, are you above every animal and above every living thing of the field? Upon your belly? You will walk and dust. You will eat all the days of your life and the hostility I will set between you and between the woman and between your seed and between her seed.
00;19;39;19 – 00;20;18;11
Speaker 1
He will strike you on the head and you will strike him on the heel. And then there’s a whitespace. One of the things that I learned while studying the Hebrew language, which was simply that they didn’t have punctuation in the way that we have punctuation. Hey, Elder Rogers, good to see you. They didn’t have punctuation alone so much alone.
00;20;19;11 – 00;20;53;15
Speaker 1
They didn’t have the punctuation in the way that we have it. The name of the the Bible is the transparent English Bible. It’s written by James Tabor. And when I get a chance, I’ll put put the link to it in the chat. But right now they only have the Book of Genesis done, but you can download it on Kindle for $5, and they’re working through the rest of the Torah.
00;20;53;15 – 00;21;43;09
Speaker 1
But right now it took them a long time to just get Genesis done. And so going back to the white spaces, the English format in the chapters, in the verses, and those of us who have studied understand that the chapters and verses don’t necessarily end the thought or begin the thought, but it’s really about the white spaces. And there are a few Bibles if you if you even Google and look up like the Dead Sea Scrolls or any Hebrew text and you just look at it, even though if you can’t read Hebrew, you’ll go down and you’ll see that there are times when there’s a white space and what that is, that is actually the
00;21;43;09 – 00;22;12;04
Speaker 1
end of a thought. So it’s not the amount of verses, it’s not the chapters, it’s where the writers had the thought. And so what they did is they left a white space. So there’s a bigger white space when it’s a whole thought. Sometimes there’s a smaller whites in small how do I say bigger and smaller? So maybe the end of the thought the white space might be an inch and a half.
00;22;12;22 – 00;22;40;03
Speaker 1
You know where if it’s just the the ended like a paragraph or so, it’ll be like a half inch. So I mean, it’s not huge, but it’s enough that if you’re looking at the page, you can tell where the thought ends. And so what I wanted to point out to you while I was reading in this is that the thought and here.
00;22;40;26 – 00;23;18;00
Speaker 1
Right. So he’s done speaking to the net cash. So now if you’re in your English Bible, I’m at verse 16 in chapter three toward the woman he said, making abundant, I will surely make abundant your distresses and your pregnancy in distress. You will bring forth sons and towards your men will be your craving, and he will rule in you.
00;23;19;21 – 00;23;41;25
Speaker 1
I wish we had time to like just this is such a good Bible study. If you ever get this Bible because they have all these little notes, I think Kindle’s the best way to get it because they have all these little notes and you click on the numbers and it tells you more information about the structure of the word.
00;23;41;25 – 00;24;08;28
Speaker 1
So again, then I hit a white space. So 16 is its own thought. It’s done. And that’s because he’s done speaking to the woman. And so now let’s go over 17 and to the soil creature, which is interesting. They never call him Adam. They call him the soil creature because that’s really interesting. Yeah, they call him the soil creature.
00;24;09;09 – 00;24;37;16
Speaker 1
That’s the real close to the Hebrew right and to the soil creature, he said. Because you hearken to the voice of your woman, I love this. Your woman. Hebrew really does this thing with possessions and gender, with nouns and verbs, very, very intricate. I love it. So of course it’s your woman. And you ate from the tree that I charged you saying you will not eat from it.
00;24;38;11 – 00;25;05;02
Speaker 1
Curse is the soil on account of you in distress. You eat it all the days of your life and thorn and thistle. It will sprout for you. And you’ll eat the plant of the field in the sweat of your two nostrils. You will eat bread until you return toward the soil. For from it you were taken for dust.
00;25;05;02 – 00;25;39;16
Speaker 1
You are in towards dust. You will return. And the soil creature called the name of his woman Eve, for she was the mother of all living things and Jehovah Elohim made for soil creature and his woman robes of skin. And he dressed them and you Hova Elohim said, Look, the soil creature has become like one of us. One from us has become like one from us to know good and bad.
00;25;40;14 – 00;26;10;27
Speaker 1
And now, lest he send forth his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat and live for an age, and Jehovah Elohim sent him from the Garden of Eden to service the soil from which he was taken, and he drove out the soil creature and made him dwell at the east of the Garden of Eden, the Cherubim and the flame of the sword that was revolving to guard the way of the tree of life.
00;26;11;19 – 00;26;40;15
Speaker 1
White space. So one of the the reasons that we were so we’re having this discussion is we are trying to understand what was Elohim plan for humanity the whole time. Yeah, I know. Isn’t that interesting? Elder Rogers Rule in you? Yeah. I wish we had time to stay on that.
00;26;40;29 – 00;26;42;03
Speaker 2
But we don’t.
00;26;43;09 – 00;27;17;27
Speaker 1
We don’t. What we are trying to understand is what was Elohim plan for humanity and as we look at the Torah, how do we begin to really know? Because I want us to really, really know that we are Israel, that we are included in what we see happening with the Torah. But we got to understand the story and understand what the the relationships were, what the promises were.
00;27;18;23 – 00;27;56;06
Speaker 1
And so what we’re doing right now is we’re looking at this first kind of relationship with Adam and Eve or the soil creature and Eve that Elohim does not make any kind of covenant with them. He tells them what they’re going to do, like he blesses them. He says, multiply and be fruitful and subdue the land. But he has yet to come out on his side and say, Well, I’m going to do this for you and I’m going to do this for you, and I promise I’m not going to do that.
00;27;56;06 – 00;28;37;20
Speaker 1
And so let’s now go over into to Noah. Right. And see what is the promise or the oath that’s made with him. Any question so far. And I mean, we don’t have to like rush away from from Adam and Eve just yet. But anyone have any thoughts that it’s interesting that we don’t see here where Elohim makes any kind of commitment on his happy be on his side that he’s going to do something for them.
00;28;37;20 – 00;29;00;18
Speaker 1
He just gives them instructions, he blesses them, but he doesn’t, you know, promise all these things that he’s going to do for them. So we’re still kind of watching to see what is Elohim going to do for humanity. And he won’t have thoughts or questions.
00;29;00;18 – 00;29;34;25
Speaker 3
Shalom. I think it’s very interesting and not only interesting, but it’s just when you’re creating something, you’re in control. You call the shots, you put things in order and then should you decide to want to do something else that would happen or will come, come next. Keep in mind that he knew knew the beginning from the end. However, just his plan, his plan for humanity.
00;29;36;08 – 00;30;11;12
Speaker 3
That’s why I would think that he would not just start. Okay, if you do, then I will. Basically, I guess it’s it’s inherent that if you plant the seed, it’s going to automatically grow if you understand what I’m talking about. And then the next thought I have is we cannot negate the fact that he made the, quote unquote, soil creature with a free will, then he’s accommodating for that free will also.
00;30;12;00 – 00;30;14;08
Speaker 3
That’s just my thoughts. Thank you.
00;30;15;23 – 00;30;52;15
Speaker 1
Good. Thank you. Okay, let’s go to Genesis and we’re going to get to know one now because generally we understand that this is the next place for a we see a promise or some type of interaction. Elohim has with humanity. And this is actually we see the first time that Elohim says that he’s going to do something. So I’m going to go let’s see.
00;30;52;15 – 00;31;21;00
Speaker 1
Let’s go to Genesis six and let’s start at verse 17. I’ll read them in The King James, and then I’ll go to the transparent English Bible and let’s see what the differences Genesis six seven Eldorado is. Are you able to read? Do you want to read or you want to just listen?
00;31;21;00 – 00;31;30;11
Speaker 3
I will. I will read a little bit. And then when I’m no longer able, I’ll just put a little emoji in the chip.
00;31;30;11 – 00;31;30;25
Speaker 1
Okay.
00;31;31;02 – 00;31;37;13
Speaker 3
Already. So I have the King James version. Where exactly do you want me to pick up?
00;31;38;13 – 00;31;49;29
Speaker 1
We’re going to do Genesis six. I want you to read 17 through 22.
00;31;50;25 – 00;32;25;10
Speaker 3
Okay. I just dropped it. Okay. Genesis six. Mm. 17 through 22 and the whole I even I do bring a flood of water is upon the earth to destroy all flesh we’re in is the breath of life from under heaven. And everything that is in the earth shall die. But with the will I establish my covenant and thou shalt come into the ark now.
00;32;25;14 – 00;33;11;20
Speaker 3
And I sons and my wife and our sons wives, with the end of every living thing of all flesh to of every sort, shall about bring into the to keep them alive with the they shall be male and female of fowls after their time and of cattle, after their time of every creeping thing of the earth, after his come to of their resort, shall come onto the to keep them alive and take on to the of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to the and it shall be for food for the and for them.
00;33;12;20 – 00;33;22;09
Speaker 3
Thus, Noah, according to all that, all of whom commanded him. So he so did he. That was 22.
00;33;23;27 – 00;33;56;03
Speaker 1
Okay, great. I just copied the link into the chat for the transparent English Bible. All right. I’m a negative read from the transparent English Bible, but that’s interesting that we actually hear Elohim say now that he’s going to do something. And I’m not talking about the flood. I mean, he’s saying that he’s going to bring he’s going to make a covenant.
00;33;56;03 – 00;34;42;12
Speaker 1
So this is the first time that we see Elohim make something that he’s going to establish. Okay, 917 Where are you? Okay, he says. And I look at me and making come the flood of waters upon the land to ruin all flesh, in which is a spirit which a lot word is rock or wind of life from under the skies.
00;34;42;12 – 00;35;07;21
Speaker 1
All that is on the land will expire and I have made rise my pact with you. And you will come toward the vessel. You and your sons and your woman and the woman of your sons, with you and every living thing of all flesh to of all you will make come toward the vessel to make them live with you, a male and a female.
00;35;07;21 – 00;35;34;27
Speaker 1
They will be from the flier according to its type and from the animal according to its type, and from every moving thing of the soil, according to its type to from all will come towards you to make them live. And you will take for yourselves of every eatable thing that is eaten, and you will gather toward yourselves. And it will be to you and to them for an edible thing.
00;35;35;17 – 00;36;18;03
Speaker 1
And Noah did, according to all that, Elohim charged him that he did. Hey, let’s move now to Genesis nine, because this is where the flood is over now, and we’re going to see a more detailed promise that Elohim is going to make. And we often think about, you know, the the rainbow, right? We we think about that covenant.
00;36;18;03 – 00;37;07;01
Speaker 1
But I want us to see see if you can recognize the beginnings of a covenant, because you’re going to see you’re going to see this in more detail with the next person he deals with, which is going to be Abraham. So let’s go to okay, let’s do Genesis nine and let’s start at verse one and read to. Okay.
00;37;08;04 – 00;37;14;06
Speaker 1
Elder Rodgers Well, you just read from Genesis nine one through eight for me, surely.
00;37;15;11 – 00;37;48;07
Speaker 3
And Elohim blessed Noah and his sons and said unto them the fruitful and multiply and replenish the air and the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast onto you and upon every fall of the air, upon all that moves upon the earth and upon all the fishes of the sea into your hand are they delivered every moving thing that live.
00;37;48;07 – 00;38;34;08
Speaker 3
It shall be neat for you. Even as the green have given you all things but flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood they will show you not eat, and surely your blood of your lives will I require at the hand of every beast, will I require it? And at the hand of man, at the hand of every man’s brother will require the life of man whosoever shed man’s blood by man, shall his blood be shared, or in the image of all who made he man and you be fruitful and multiply.
00;38;34;08 – 00;39;01;24
Speaker 3
I’ll bring forth abundantly in the earth and multiply their end and they will him spake unto Noah and to his sons with him same. And on the whole, I establish my covenant with you and with your seed after you, and with every living thing. Not Susan, verse ten. I’ll just stop there.
00;39;01;24 – 00;39;49;23
Speaker 1
Oh, yeah. So yeah, in the first eight verses or first seven verses, we see he blesses them and verse seven and you be fruitful and multiply and bring forth abundantly in the earth and multiply there. And that sounds just like Genesis one 2728 Yeah. So like, okay, but now we’re going to see him, him being Elohim, we’re going to see him add on because he never made a covenant or said the words, I’m going to make a covenant with you, Adam.
00;39;49;23 – 00;40;29;15
Speaker 1
But we see him doing that now with Noah. And what’s interesting is that in verse nine, we’re going to see the word seed and we see him use it here. But then when we go and look at what he does with Abraham, we’re going to see that idea seed again. And what’s important is that we’re starting to see this pattern of multiplying your children and the importance of land.
00;40;29;15 – 00;41;05;25
Speaker 1
It’s all about the land. I haven’t quite figured out or understood it yet. It’s something that has intrigued me ever since I landed in Vietnam. This idea of Elohim, the connection to the land, to to Earth. And I’m not talking as in the, you know, conservative, you know that the tree people and things like that talking about that I’m not that that’s not important.
00;41;06;28 – 00;42;18;21
Speaker 1
But there’s something about land and it’s important to Elohim and children and multiplying. And so this idea of, you know, however it is that we think abortion is okay children and multiply are important to Elohim and so is the land. So let’s read from I’ll read from nine down to four, nine down, the 17 I’ll read and I behold I established my covenant with you and with your seed after you and with every living creature that is with you of the foul of the cattle and every beast of the earth with you from all that go out of the ark to every beast of the earth, I will establish my covenant with you.
00;42;18;21 – 00;42;59;18
Speaker 1
Says it again. Neither shall all flesh be cut off anymore by the waters of the flood neither shall there anymore be a flood to destroy the Earth. And Elohim said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you for perpetual generations. And so not only is he making a covenant with Noah, but he’s making it with every living creature that is with you for perpetual generations.
00;43;00;03 – 00;43;21;02
Speaker 1
So it doesn’t end. This covenant is not going to end. It does set my bow and the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. Isn’t that interesting that he says it’s a token of a covenant between me and the Earth? I think I just want to do a sidebar here.
00;43;22;02 – 00;43;49;03
Speaker 1
I think one of the the things one of the the teachers, one of the people that I study with and I follow brought up this theory. It’s not my theory, but I totally do agree with him. His name is Jeff Benner, and we’re going to be studying a lot of his material as we go through these Sabbath studies.
00;43;49;03 – 00;44;29;01
Speaker 1
But he’s a scholar in the ancient Hebrew. So with the pictographs. Right. Fascinating. Just the concept of you know, every letter tells a story and has a meaning in the Hebrew culture. And but he talks about where it says, let us make man in our image. And he purports that Elohim is talking to the earth, that it’s not you know, some people think it’s the angels or the other council, like the council you have in Joe.
00;44;29;01 – 00;44;56;10
Speaker 1
You know, other people think, you know, it’s a father, son and Holy Spirit. But he is saying that when Elohim says, let us make man in our image that he’s talking to the Earth. Because at that point, the earth has brought forth everything, right? It’s like Elohim came down. He separated the waters. The earth was always there, which is underneath.
00;44;56;10 – 00;45;19;29
Speaker 1
Right. Remember? And he he brings the earth up. But then he tells the earth to bring forth. He doesn’t create. He doesn’t take his hands or anything he says Earth to bring forth and so bring forth the seed and then it bring all the living creatures. And then he says, You know what? Let us make man in our image.
00;45;19;29 – 00;45;44;07
Speaker 1
And so he goes into the earth. And so I think it’s interesting that we see here that there’s this flood that covers the Earth again. And he’s like, listen, Earth, I’m sorry about this. I will make a promise with you, a covenant between me and the Earth in verse 13. Right. And I’m not I’m not going to cover you with water again.
00;45;44;07 – 00;46;15;20
Speaker 1
So I think that’s I think that’s interesting. What is the purpose of Moonlight? I have no idea, Habib. What is the purpose of Moonlight? That’s an interesting question. One that we we might be able to take up at another time. And thank you for joining us and asking that question. But I have no idea.
00;46;15;20 – 00;46;53;10
Speaker 3
It’s somewhat mistaken if it serves as a okay, maybe I’m not understand. I know the moon in the stars they serve as purpose for the the signs and the times. That’s one of the purposes. Okay. But he’s asking for the moon light. Yeah. Okay. Oh, I guess it’s a part from the obvious. I don’t know either. And the obvious would be for the light because it is a light and he created it, you know.
00;46;53;10 – 00;47;04;25
Speaker 3
But as we know that the the light that the moon gives is just reflection from the sun. But other than that, I don’t have an idea.
00;47;06;19 – 00;47;36;15
Speaker 1
Thank you, Herbie. So he makes his covenant with the Earth. And so now I’m in verse 14, and it shall come to pass when I bring a cloud over the earth that the bow shall be seen in the cloud. Now remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the water shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
00;47;38;00 – 00;48;06;26
Speaker 1
And the bow shall be in the cloud, and I will look upon it that I may remember the everlasting covenant between Elohim and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the Earth. And Elohim said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the Earth.
00;48;06;26 – 00;48;50;17
Speaker 1
So we go from Genesis one to be multiply, be fruitful, and subdue the earth and fill it to now Genesis nine, where he is, Elohim is making a covenant that he will not destroy the earth. But he also says, where is the one with the seed? In Genesis nine, I will establish my covenant with you and with your seed after you.
00;48;50;17 – 00;49;26;09
Speaker 1
So there is this idea of multiplication, of children, of your children, but of the land. So now let’s go to Abraham. And the reason again that we’re doing this is because we want to see the progression of what Elohim does to establish his relationship with humanity, with establishing his promise, because we see from Genesis one and two and three that Adam and Eve failed.
00;49;27;18 – 00;50;03;16
Speaker 1
Then we see in Genesis six, where he wiped out all of humanity and he started over again with Noah. But now we’re going to see when we approach Abraham that something more is happening, something that is important to Elohim in establishing how it is that he wants to be in relationship with humanity. Any questions or thoughts?
00;50;04;05 – 00;50;40;16
Speaker 3
This is I. I type like a turtle on speed steel slow. So green is how is trying to put it in the chat. However, when you were talking about the covenant with the earth and where he’s saying come for it was already done. So that basically speaks of what’s known as the creator race. He had already created the Earth originally, I’ll put it that way.
00;50;40;16 – 00;50;53;21
Speaker 3
And then after the Earth was covered with water, Satan was not Satan. But what was his name? What was.
00;50;53;21 – 00;50;54;01
Speaker 1
Ever.
00;50;54;11 – 00;51;30;24
Speaker 3
Yes, that’s the one destiny when he and all the angels was cast down and all of those individuals, you know, that he subdued and you know, I got to follow him after all of that was destroyed and covered with water on the earth. Then after after however many years we see Elohim coming and, you know, picking up with verse two.
00;51;30;24 – 00;52;00;27
Speaker 3
So therefore, let’s just just to talk further on what you were talking about, how it was already there. And if we don’t slowly, we will miss that and people will continue to miss that. And I missed that until, you know, it was brought to my attention that, hey, this was already there. He’s just saying, come for the light was already there.
00;52;01;16 – 00;52;21;06
Speaker 3
He just called it to come forth and basically told the darkness to move that the way he regulated them control the darkness with the you know, with the going down and of the of the sun. So I know is just very, very interesting. It’s very, very interesting. And I’ll you.
00;52;24;11 – 00;52;30;23
Speaker 1
Thank you for that. Esther made your daughter. Any thoughts?
00;52;30;23 – 00;52;36;26
Speaker 2
I yeah. You know that when you read about them the flat.
00;52;37;21 – 00;52;38;10
Speaker 1
And.
00;52;38;16 – 00;53;28;12
Speaker 2
You know I just, I just go back to the first genesis when they tell that in the beginning like that the earth is without form and voids and and and deep. Right. What is that? And the the the spirit of the lot is working on the face of the deep. So when the flood it come. And the verse of Genesis 711 said that Yahweh, Elohim is open all the fountain to the deep, and then in the day tree we see that God is just great.
00;53;28;21 – 00;53;57;13
Speaker 2
God just said that let there be a dry, and then the dry is called the land and then the sea. The water is called the sea. So I not understand that. But just like there is a picture I have in my mind that God gave me about the deep and the face of the deep and the fountain and with the dry and that.
00;53;58;02 – 00;54;28;15
Speaker 2
Yeah, we got it. Land and we made it by the land, the sea like the sacred right. You said that the word right. So I, I, I still cannot find a real lake there, but something that in it maybe I will ask God to, to, to extend that more for me. Since that thought. Are you on my.
00;54;29;11 – 00;55;01;25
Speaker 1
You will definitely write it down. This is Sabbath. Ask him to give a deeper revelation and come back and share it with us next week. Because I think you’re getting at something. What you’re saying is that the earth was covered with water and then he had it separated because he told the land to come up. And then you see in the flood where what he did was he called all the fountains from underneath the earth to release the water.
00;55;03;25 – 00;55;05;18
Speaker 2
To cover the earth again.
00;55;05;22 – 00;55;24;21
Speaker 1
To cover the earth again. So and it seems like this covenant that he made with the land, notice how he said a couple of times, I made this covenant with the earth that I will not do this again. It almost seemed like, well, maybe this is the second time and not the first time, or could be the third or fourth time.
00;55;25;00 – 00;55;41;01
Speaker 1
Like we don’t know, but we definitely know that at least twice right in the beginning in Genesis one and then now in Genesis seven. So twice the earth has been covered with water. And so Elohim is making this promise not just that.
00;55;41;06 – 00;55;44;05
Speaker 2
That this that is a ploy, I think. Yeah, yeah.
00;55;44;24 – 00;55;59;04
Speaker 1
You know, he’s making this promise that okay, creatures and the earth, they’re probably like, okay, we had enough of this water already. You know, he’s like, okay, so really.
00;55;59;12 – 00;56;29;18
Speaker 2
At this moment is that, you know, before God created man, there is no, no raining because no one to to the ground, that is it’s also talk about the water. The rain is the water. Right. But that that time is no raining. And then because the deal will will I am not remembered where I thought that was. But yes like it yeah.
00;56;29;19 – 00;57;00;23
Speaker 2
Relate that the the thing that we talk about like we don’t know how many time up is kaboom covering by water but just like you set in in this in in the book of Genesis from 1 to 7 we can see that is why the earth is covered by the water. And then after that, yeah, with Elohim, just like make the covenant with man that I’ll never do it again.
00;57;02;07 – 00;57;33;17
Speaker 2
We can see that like you said that God never said that to. Adam. He only did that with Norway when he said he will destroy the land by the water woods, that every tree that will die. And then he promised to Norway that no end and his family will be be be safe because he he make that common.
00;57;33;17 – 00;57;44;28
Speaker 2
And with them he never to never let what the poverty of anymore. Yeah. And a human life.
00;57;46;10 – 00;58;19;17
Speaker 1
Yeah and what’s important is not just with Noah he said that he would make it with all the creatures and with the earth. There is something with that relationship with the earth. And we’re going to we’re going to dig into that more. But Elohim did say not just with Noah, but with all living creatures, and he made a covenant with the earth so many times in Scripture, we’ll hear them say, Let’s bring heaven and Earth as a record.
00;58;21;07 – 00;58;51;01
Speaker 1
I don’t know if you if you remember, there are different places in Scripture where he calls Earth the Earth to give a count or to hold record. There is something with this earth I think about again, tribal people are first nation people and their understanding of that connection with the land and with the earth that it is living, that it has purpose.
00;58;51;12 – 00;59;13;18
Speaker 1
And I’m not necessarily going to say that I’m calling it Mother Earth, but I can understand where people see that. And I think there is a very we are seeing a very, very deep connection with Elohim and with the Earth in the way that it functions and that they work together.
00;59;14;24 – 00;59;57;10
Speaker 3
You know what? I was what I just thought about is the significance, how great it is that he honors the earth he takes. I don’t say pride and care. I mean, unlike us, mankind as a whole cares little or nothing about the earth. So when it comes to money, when it comes to, you know, just when he gave us dominion, looked like we just ran while without regard.
00;59;58;09 – 01;00;40;05
Speaker 3
And if you look at the the ozone layer, look at pollution, look at all of this stuff, and it’s all based on the love of money. Whereas Elohim, he created the Earth, he values the Earth, and it would do wise and beware, it would be wise. And for us to do well to value it, as you know, because it’s just really is I mean, it just really came to the forefront of my mind reading the Scriptures, how much he honors and values and even respects the Earth.
01;00;40;20 – 01;00;45;04
Speaker 3
And with that, I yield.
01;00;45;04 – 01;01;20;03
Speaker 1
Amen. But, you know, the thing is, is that there are many places in this earth where people value the land, because there are many tribal, there are many heavy agricultural communities where they honor the land, respect the land. You know, we would call it and Esther can tell you about it in in the tribes in Vietnam, major daughter can tell you about it, about the tribes in Africa.
01;01;21;11 – 01;01;47;14
Speaker 1
They honor the land. And some places the land is a god. You know, they throw their children in the river. They make sacrifices to the land to have a good harvest so we can have the flip, you know, where people create the land as their God. But there are many, many places in this world where they still honor and reverence the land.
01;01;47;14 – 01;01;59;09
Speaker 1
Even here, America, we have our Native Americans who, although we have taken their land and forced them on reservations, they still honor the land. They are still connected to the wind, to the mountains, to the water.
01;02;00;08 – 01;02;39;13
Speaker 3
You know, you are so correct. And thank you for bringing this. You know, I guess I was just basically speaking on the abuse and the neglect and the disdain. And I won’t say disdain, but just the way the earth has, you know, the the situation as it is with global warming. Perfect example, but that comes to the fact that there are more people who don’t care to the of the future of the earth.
01;02;39;13 – 01;03;00;08
Speaker 3
If you understand what I’m talking about, you are absolutely right. You are so absolutely right. However The love of money in the hearts of so many people have brought this. The condition of the earth as it is now. And with that, I yield.
01;03;00;08 – 01;03;45;04
Speaker 1
Amen. Thank you for that. Let’s get to Abraham. We’re going to go to Genesis 12. Excuse me. Sorry. So we’re in Genesis 12 and I’ll read a read from the Transparent Bible and then we’ll we’ll read from the King James. But this is now it. We see that Elohim is seeking out someone because we understand that Abraham was not even Abraham.
01;03;45;04 – 01;04;24;06
Speaker 1
Was that even thinking about Elohim, who necessarily because he lived in a culture and Chaldean with many gods. But we see in verse one that Abraham is is the focus of Elohim, attention of Jehovah, his attention, and that he is going to woo him with a promise which is much different because there’s no flood, there’s no problem. No one said, you know what I mean?
01;04;24;06 – 01;04;55;04
Speaker 1
It’s not like Adam said and they got kicked out. It’s not like Noah, you know, was on a boat in and all of humanity is dead. Like they’re living life here. And Elohim approaches Abraham and says, I want to make a great nation. So let me get to the transparent Bible and read that couple verses and then I’ll go.
01;04;55;04 – 01;05;35;23
Speaker 1
Roger So have you read as well? So we are in Chapter 12, verse one, and I’m reading from the transparent English Bible, and Jehovah said toward Abraham, Walk for yourself from your land and from those brought forth of yours and from the house of your father, toward the land that I will make you see and I will make for you a large nation, and I will bless you and I will make your name large and you be a blessing.
01;05;37;00 – 01;06;12;09
Speaker 1
And I will bless those blessing you and the one treating you lightly. I will curse and blessed in you will be all the families of the soil. And Abraham walked as you Hova spoke toward him and walked with him. And Abraham was a son of five years and 70 years in his going out from Haran elder Rodgers will you read one through five for us went through for.
01;06;15;28 – 01;06;42;24
Speaker 3
Now you always had said unto Abraham get the out of that country. And from that kindred and from that father’s house and unto a land that I will show thee and I will make the make of thee a great nation. And I will bless the and make that name great. And Thou shalt be a blessing. And I will bless them.
01;06;42;24 – 01;07;12;29
Speaker 3
That blessed the and curse him that curse it the and in the show all families of the earth be blessed. So Adam departed as Yahweh. We had spoken to him and went with him. And Abraham was 70 and years old when he departed out of Hurrah. That was verse for we said.
01;07;12;29 – 01;08;06;05
Speaker 1
Now we still see this thing with land is very important to Elohim, and we see that from the beginning. I think we missed this. It is Elohim, the intention that all families of the Earth be blessed. I remember, you know, when I was young, Christian, and I would read about Abraham and his story. I don’t ever think it caught my attention that it was always Elohim plan to bless all families of the Earth, all families, not just Jewish families or Muslim families or Indian families or Jamaican families or Vietnamese fam like all families, not black families, white families.
01;08;06;15 – 01;09;18;07
Speaker 1
It was all families. We’ve got to understand, again, by just reading the Torah for what it is and not through different cultures or different denominations, but to understand that this promise that’s made with Abraham is meant to bless all families like the Covenant with Noah was not to destroy the Earth again by water. But we see now this broader covenant with Abraham is to bless all families in what we’re going to see is that Elohim is going to do in such a way that he makes a covenant, he makes the oath with himself like he’s not even like regardless of what what Abraham does or doesn’t do, there an oath that Elohim is going to
01;09;18;07 – 01;09;26;04
Speaker 1
make with himself to make sure that this promise comes to pass.
01;09;28;05 – 01;10;10;17
Speaker 1
And it’s not just a promise, it’s an it’s an oath. It is Elohim desire from the beginning to bless all families through this one family. Now, that doesn’t mean that you have to be of Jewish descent, because I think we we think that it’s only the Jews that are the chosen people. And as we go through this study, we’re going to begin to understand that we will see this progression of information and unfolding of Elohim plan.
01;10;11;09 – 01;10;41;26
Speaker 1
And it does include foreigners and sojourners and strangers in the land. We’re going to even look at how in the tribes. Ephraim, him and Nasser, their mother, was Egyptian, but yet they become the strongest of all the 12 tribes, right? And the way that Jacob blesses Ephraim and Manasa. But they. And he takes them in as their own.
01;10;41;26 – 01;11;15;19
Speaker 1
As his own. You’ll see that when we get over to Genesis. End of Genesis. Right. But the point being is as we move along and we really study, you’ll begin to see that Abraham and his seed are meant to be an example. And blessing so that all families, everyone is supposed to be blessed, not just the Jews. And there are no Jews right now.
01;11;16;04 – 01;11;49;27
Speaker 1
We understand that Jews don’t appear in terminology until after Solomon, but Abraham, Abraham, excuse me at this point. So we’re going to move to the next section where we see even more the promise unfold. Anyone have any thoughts or questions about this, this promise?
01;11;54;27 – 01;13;01;28
Speaker 1
Okay. Thank you all to Rodgers for joining us. All right. Let’s go to Genesis 15. And so we’ve jumped from 12 to 15 and we’re going to look at even more as Elohim begins to reveal more of the promise. And this is where we see in Chapter 15 that, Jehovah is even going to make the covenant by himself this how much he wants to bless all the families of the earth, like he’s not even going to rely on humans anymore necessarily.
01;13;01;28 – 01;13;42;07
Speaker 1
He’s going to cut this promise with himself. So let’s go to Genesis 15 and in verse one, after these things, the word of Jehovah came on to Abraham in a vision saying, Fear not Abraham, I am a shield and not exceeding great reward. And Abraham said, Adonai, Elohim, what will thou give me? Seeing I go childless and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus, and had said, Behold to me, thou hast given no seed.
01;13;42;23 – 01;14;12;14
Speaker 1
Never. We saw that word seed back was Noah and the low one born to me in my house is mine Air and behold the word of you are the way Jehovah came unto him saying This shall not be that air, but he shall come forth out of thine own bowels, be thine air. And he brought him forth abroad and said, Look now toward the heaven and tell the stars if they’ll be able to number them.
01;14;12;14 – 01;14;45;19
Speaker 1
And he said unto him, So shall I seed be? And he believed in Jehovah and counted it unto him for righteousness. And he said unto him, I am your Hova, that brought the out of earth of the Chaldeans to give the this land to inherent. Always we see this set where your Hova is always saying I brought the he reminds you, you know, I was doing a study on covenants.
01;14;45;19 – 01;15;17;16
Speaker 1
Okay, let me not jump ahead. Hold on. I can do it here. I was doing a study on covenants and and it called the the like the vassal and the Lord Covenant in their Eastern Times. When you when you go way back and you look at how they set up a and it was always between it was the idea of one king said to another Lord or prince, look, this is what I’m going to do for you.
01;15;18;18 – 01;16;04;03
Speaker 1
And so the way it would start is that the stronger or the superior would remind the lesser what he had done for them. And then he would say, These are the blessings and things I’m going to do for you. And if you don’t do them, these are the things that you mean, then these are the rules. And then if you don’t do them, these are the things that are going to happen to you and I thought I was like, Oh my gosh, when you look through the Old Testament, if you notice always, especially in Deuteronomy, Jehovah is always saying, I brought you out of Egypt with a strong hand.
01;16;04;22 – 01;16;29;25
Speaker 1
I, I’m the God that delivered you. I always were seeing that Jehovah is always establishing himself, always reminding them what he did for them, how he’s going to bless them, what the rules are. They’ve got to follow the rules. If they don’t follow the rules, these are the punishments. I mean, it is a true covenant is it is such that that is what was done in the land.
01;16;30;13 – 01;17;03;14
Speaker 1
Even if you just go look at history, if you just do a search on covenants in near Eastern East, ancient times, that’s how it worked. And it’s exactly set up like this in the scriptures. Now we know that at the time that this is happening, that, you know, Abraham is not necessarily writing all these things down. Someone went back and wrote these things down.
01;17;03;27 – 01;17;40;18
Speaker 1
So there is an understanding that they that this was the time, this is what how they handled things by. But we see is we’re in Genesis 15, verse six, that Abraham believed Jehovah for righteousness sake. And he said in verse seven, I am Jehovah that brought the out of the earth of the Chaldeans to give you this land to inherit.
01;17;40;18 – 01;18;10;11
Speaker 1
And then Abraham says, Abraham says to him, Elohim, where shall I know that you shall inherited? So he wants a commitment, right? Because it’s been a few years now. It’s not like it was just yesterday. Verse, chapter 12, although it looks close to us, it’s been a few years. And so in verse nine, we’re going to see where Elohim makes his own covenant, and he swears by himself.
01;18;10;29 – 01;18;33;08
Speaker 1
And so this is how they did covenants back then is they would slice an animal in half and then the two people would walk between the animals. And the idea is that if we break this covenant, this is what should you should do to me, that this is what I’ll do to you, right? I’ll kill you and put in split you in half.
01;18;33;26 – 01;19;12;24
Speaker 1
So this was their way of making a contract that they would cut the animal in half, put it on the ground, and the two people would walk through. But what’s amazing here is that Elohim doesn’t let Abraham walk through. He does it himself. So let’s read where are we? Verse nine. And he said unto him, Take me a heifer of three years old, a she girl of three years old, a ram of three years old, and a eternal love and a young pigeon.
01;19;13;25 – 01;19;54;00
Speaker 1
And he took him all of these and divided them in the midst and laid them each piece against another, but The birds divided he not. And when the fowls came down upon the carcass, Abraham drove them away. And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abraham. And lo horror of darkness fell upon him. And he said unto Abraham, Abraham Vassarotti that thy seed again, this idea of progeny of children shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs and shall serve them, and they shall afflict them for hundred years.
01;19;55;09 – 01;20;25;24
Speaker 1
And also that nation whom they shall serve. I judge, and afterwards they shall come out with great substance. So we see here the prophecy of that exodus from Egypt. He hasn’t even had children yet. And thou shall go to their fathers in peace. Thou shall be buried in a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again.
01;20;25;24 – 01;20;49;08
Speaker 1
For the iniquities of the MRA is not yet full. So he’s talking about enemies that they have not even met yet. Verse 17 And it came to pass that when the sun went down and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace and a burning lamp passed between those pieces. I still been trying to figure out what the smoking furnace and the burning lamp stand for.
01;20;50;25 – 01;21;17;18
Speaker 1
I’m going to try to do some more research, but there were two things. So when you make a covenant, the two of you walk through the middle of the animals. But in this case, Elohim made the covenant and the oath by himself without Abraham. But yet there were two entities that pass through a smoking furnace and a burning lamp.
01;21;17;18 – 01;21;50;00
Speaker 1
So one day we’re going to have to try to figure out what that means. But today’s not that day. In the same day, you, however, made a covenant with Abraham saying unto the seed, Have I given this land from the river of Egypt and to the great river, the river Euphrates? Now we know the river of Egypt, to the river Euphrates, where that is in the territories of the world today.
01;21;51;23 – 01;22;31;11
Speaker 1
So we’re winding up on our study today. But what’s important is to look at the progression of promise that Elohim is making with humanity because he is trying to bless all peoples their. There is something special about Abraham because Elohim chose him, but Elohim chose him so that he would have the responsibility of making sure that all the families are bless of the earth.
01;22;32;21 – 01;23;14;27
Speaker 1
It’s not something that’s supposed to be a secret. It’s something that he’s supposed to teach. Look at this. Go to 18. I think this is it. No, that’s not it. I want to go to. Hold on. Where is it? Maybe it’s Genesis 22. No, it’s not. It. Okay, I can’t find it. Just give me one moment to find it.
01;23;14;27 – 01;23;50;26
Speaker 1
What I’m looking for. If anyone could help me find it, it’s where Elohim is going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Right? And he says, Shall I hide this thing from Abraham because he knows him, that he will teach his his children and his household. Abraham. So I find this thing.
01;23;53;02 – 01;23;56;03
Speaker 2
Genesis 18, 18.
01;23;56;20 – 01;24;42;05
Speaker 1
Oh, so I was in the right place. Okay, I guess I was too quick. Okay So it is back in Genesis 18 where what verses it. Okay. All right. Verse 17. Okay. Over 17. And you Hova said, shall I hide from Abraham, that thing which I do, saying that Abraham shall surely become a great nation, a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him.
01;24;43;15 – 01;25;19;21
Speaker 1
We’re going to see this continually as we look more. Abraham Jehovah always says that because of Abraham, all of the nations, all of the families, the earth shall be blessed. It was always Elohim claim that everyone is blessed, nothing should be hidden or secret, or you’re not allowed to have access. It was always, always meant to be open.
01;25;19;21 – 01;25;49;25
Speaker 1
Always. We see. Elohim is always saying in all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him, verse 19, for I know him that he shall command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of your Hova to do justice and judgment that you Hova may bring upon Abraham, that which he has spoken of.
01;25;49;25 – 01;26;27;29
Speaker 1
Him. It is always Elohim plan that every human is blessed, that every human understands and knows relationship with him. It is our responsibility in this inheritance of Abraham that we command our children in our household. And so for them, household be like as if they are an employer, you know, and you have staff, you have people that you influence your community, right?
01;26;28;00 – 01;27;05;08
Speaker 1
They didn’t have communities like how we have communities now. But it is our responsibility to teach our children in our households. Abraham and his seed. The responsibility is to make sure that all the nations of the earth are blessed. So this is not about me. My for no more. Just your family, just your community. That is not Elohim plan.
01;27;05;25 – 01;27;56;26
Speaker 1
He is always saying that he wants to make sure that all the nations of the earth are blessed. So let’s go to Genesis 2215. We’re going to see the same thing again. Genesis 2215 So here Abraham is going to offer up Isaac. So in verse 15, the angel of your whole will call on to Abraham out of heaven.
01;27;56;26 – 01;28;36;09
Speaker 1
The second time and said by myself, Have I sworn sayeth Jehovah four? Because that has done this thing and hath not withheld thy son nine only son that in blessing I will bless thee and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven and as the sands, which is upon the seashore in thy seed shall possess the gates of the enemy, and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.
01;28;37;03 – 01;29;49;10
Speaker 1
Why? Because thou hast obeyed my voice. We just cannot get past the fact that because of Abraham and his obedience, all the nations of the Earth shall be blessed. Now, how are they to be blessed? His Abraham is going to teach them what it means to work with Jehovah. Well, how does it happen? Well, we’re going to see that eventually we get to the giving of the Torah in Deuteronomy, but as we progress from Adam multiplying to do the land to Noah, multiply and fill the earth to Abraham, go to a land that I’m going to show you and I see shall be exceedingly great, shall be nations.
01;29;49;10 – 01;30;23;27
Speaker 1
And the thing is, is that there is no, you know, do I have 1/32 of a blood line of the seed of Abraham? I don’t know that that is what’s important, whether you can actually trace your lineage back to Abraham. I mean, when you think about it, you had Isaac and Jacob. Jacob had their tribe. But then there’s Esau.
01;30;23;27 – 01;31;00;18
Speaker 1
He’s still of the lineage. So then Esau has his own 12 tribes. And then Abraham, after Sarah has a Torah, and then he has more sons. So there are children everywhere, you know, there are his seed is is everywhere. But what we’re going to see is that it’s going to progress until the point where it’s even the stranger living in the land, the Sojourners.
01;31;00;18 – 01;31;38;22
Speaker 1
There’ll be one law for the stranger and the native born. When we start getting into and really spending a lot of time in Deuteronomy, in Leviticus, we’re going to begin to see that it was always, always Jehovah’s Plan, that we are blessed and that we are brought into relationship with him. I want us to to go to let’s go to Zachariah.
01;31;39;21 – 01;32;30;21
Speaker 1
I want us to skip here, go to Zachariah to I believe it is. Is it to. No, it’s not Zachariah to Where do I want us to go Elohim. It’s actually in the description of our club 1040 window. Hold on. Let’s see if I can get there. How do I get to 1040 window? I can’t remember which verse it is in Zachariah.
01;32;30;21 – 01;33;12;17
Speaker 1
It is. No, sorry not. It’s not Zachariah that I want. It’s Isaiah 56. Sorry. Let’s go to Isaiah 56. That’s where I want us to go. Isaiah 56 We’re going to read verse one through eight because, you know, Isaiah is obviously way after Abraham and King David and Solomon. But we see something here that I think is important for us to understand.
01;33;12;17 – 01;34;15;17
Speaker 1
Isaiah 56 went through eight, thus sayeth Jehovah, keep judgment and do justice for my salvation is near to come in my righteousness to be revealed thus save you. However, keep judgment and do justice for my salvation is near to come and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man that do with this and the son of man that Laith hold on it that keep it the Sabbath from polluting it and keep this hand from doing any evil neither let the son of the stranger that has joined himself to you Hova speak, sing Jehovah hath utterly separated me from his people This is your Hova talking to the son of the stranger telling the stranger
01;34;16;04 – 01;34;57;17
Speaker 1
to say that neither let the unique say Behold, I am a dry tree for thus Jehovah unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbath and choose the things that please me and take hold of my covenant even unto them will I give mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and daughters. Now we’ve just seen all these promises that you Hova has made, especially with Abraham, that it’s your seed, you’re going to be a great nation.
01;34;57;26 – 01;35;26;10
Speaker 1
It’s always about multiplying. So doing the land filling, it’s always about having children and multiplying. But here you Hova is speaking to the eunuch and saying, Listen, I’m going to bring you into my house within my walls. I’m in Isaiah 56, verse five, and a place, a name better than of sons and of dollars. And I will give them an everlasting name that shall not be cut off.
01;35;27;03 – 01;36;05;08
Speaker 1
Also, the sons of the strangers. So he is not talking to what we would consider the bloodline of Israel that join themselves. So also the sons of the strangers that join themselves to your Hova. He didn’t say join themselves to the tribes. He didn’t say join themselves to then he said join themselves to Jehovah to serve him and to love the name of you Hova to be his servants and everyone that keep the Sabbath from polluting it and take it hold of my covenant.
01;36;06;01 – 01;36;36;06
Speaker 1
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar. Now, remember, there’s a time in our understanding that only the line of Levi, only the high priests could make offerings and sacrifices. But he’s talking about bringing the son of a stranger in bringing him into the Holy Mountain.
01;36;36;25 – 01;37;09;09
Speaker 1
Bring into the house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar for my own house. So be called the House of Prayer for all people. Elohim, which gathers the outcasts of Israel, sayeth. Yet will I gather others to him, besides those that are gathered unto him? It is always Elon’s plan that all the nations of the earth be blessed.
01;37;10;09 – 01;37;39;24
Speaker 1
And there is a responsibility for us to study the Torah, to understand it, to know that there is a promise, that there is relationship, that there is covenant. It does not belong to one culture. It does not belong to one denomination. It is for all families of all nations of the earth to be blessed in. You are to be joined to Jehovah.
01;37;40;18 – 01;37;41;21
Speaker 1
That’s what he wants.
